Paul Flanagan of Rathdrum Rifle & Pistol Club won the Leinster Standard Pistol Open with a combined score of 692.2. Paul was a long way ahead of the rest of the field led by John O'Brien of Rathdrum who finished with a 642.7 followed by relative newcomer Martin Hayes of Hilltop with a score of 621.6
The competition was late starting due to a computer error caused by a corrupted file which resulted in the system not being able to read some of the targets. After an hour of troubleshooting this was fixed and the competition eventually started.

There was only one but very notable change in the finishing order during the final with Martin Hayes overtaking both David Cooney and Caroline O'Brien in his last series to move from 5th to 3rd place.In doing so he overcame a 20 point deficit!
